How is presence progress?

Presence–your physical presence–makes way for your voice, your opinion.
It’s representation and representing–those simple and complex things.
Your presence  in the movie theater, in the park, and at the crosswalk is an expression of your civil rights.
In the past, your public presence may have been barred, uninvited, or an impossibility.
In the past,  oppressive societies may have made your public presence a danger or challenge to yourself.
Perhaps your presence suffers this reality now.

Being in public space is life-affirming.
Getting out and about helps you care for yourself and those you love.  It helps you make a living.  It allows you to interact with people casually and safely.
In our society’s efforts to include, protect, and support more people, presence is no small matter.
